I am appalled at the sudden degradation of the FAA's capacity, and appalled at the degradation of air travel safety since Trump took office. Reducing the workforce by firing was unconscionable. The results were immediately visible in the unprecedented number of incidents. The Air Traffic Organization, which is responsible for the safety of U.S. airspace as the operational arm of the FAA, is losing the vice presidents and deputy vice presidents of five major programs including mission support, and safety and technical training." How is this safe, for a critical expert agency to lose so many experienced expert personnel at once? How is this okay? Congress! Please, act NOW. Do oversight. Make referrals. Use all the tools at your disposal. Get Musk, DOGE, and Starlink out. Take back your role. Impeach Sean Duffy. DO NOT let air traffic control go into ruin and then claim that the inky solution is privatisation.
