An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Net Neutrality is Essential

11 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The recent rollback of net neutrality regulations poses a threat to an open and fair internet. Without these protections, internet service providers (ISPs) now have the ability to block or throttle online content, creating digital gatekeepers that undermine free speech and innovation. ISPs could prioritize their own services over competitors, stifling small businesses and startups. Furthermore, the loss of net neutrality jeopardizes consumer choice and enables ISPs to create internet "fast lanes" only accessible to those who can afford premium fees. This compromises principles of equal access and opportunities for all. We must safeguard net neutrality to maintain a level playing field online and prevent monopolistic control over the internet by a handful of powerful corporations. Reinstituting clear, enforceable net neutrality rules is crucial to preserving the open internet as a driving force for economic growth, creativity, and democratic discourse. I urge you to support legislative action to restore these vital consumer protections.
