This appears to be part of a broader pattern of undue private influence over the federal government. Providing an unelected billionaire like Musk with such expansive access to public resources raises serious questions about whose interests are being served - Musk's private companies or the American people. Circumventing democratic processes and norms is a slippery slope towards outright state capture by the wealthy elite. This Musk takeover of government functions must end immediately to restore proper governance and accountability to the people. Public institutions belong to all citizens, not just the ultra-rich and well-connected.
