Here's the letter body:
I am writing to you as a concerned citizen, a voter, and a believer in the fundamental principles that have made our nation strong: democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. In this critical moment, I urge you to demonstrate the courage and integrity necessary to uphold the Constitution and protect the American people from dangerous overreach.
The recent executive orders issued by President Trump, particularly those that propose a freeze on all federal grants and loans, pose a direct threat to the well-being of your constituents. These grants and loans are lifelines for millions of Americans, including:
• Medicaid recipients who depend on federal funding to access critical healthcare services.
• Cancer patients and medical researchers relying on NIH and CDC grants to advance life-saving treatments.
• Small business owners who depend on federal economic support to keep their businesses afloat and provide jobs in their communities.
• Farmers and rural communities who need agricultural subsidies, disaster relief, and infrastructure development.
• Veterans and active-duty military families who rely on federal assistance programs for healthcare, education, and job placement.
The directive to freeze these funds is not only irresponsible but an outright attack on the stability of millions of American lives. It is an abuse of power that threatens to undermine our democratic system. We cannot and must not stand by while these dangerous actions take root.
This is not about partisan politics. It is about the preservation of our democracy. We are watching. We are listening. And in less than two years, we will vote. Your legacy and the trust of your constituents will be determined by your willingness to put country over party and stand against authoritarian overreach.
History has shown us that silence in the face of tyranny is complicity. I urge you to take a stand, to protect the institutions that have long safeguarded our freedoms, and to reaffirm your commitment to the American people. Bravery and freedom must prevail, and you have the power to ensure they do.
Thank you for your time and service to this nation. I look forward to seeing how you choose to represent us.
Sincerely,
