The mass shooting in Buffalo was a racist act of terrorism influenced by the “great replacement” theory. This theory has been created and promoted by white supremacist groups, along with media personalities such as Tucker Carlson. I urge you to: 1. Strongly denounce this “theory,” as it is completely untrue — and it is killing people. 2. Enact strong gun laws and 3. Offer help for people with mental illness. All three are essential to care for our fellow Americans.
