I’m writing to express my complete outrage at your department’s reckless and disgraceful decision to post a protective order on social media that included the unredacted home address of Jennifer Vasquez Sura, a private U.S. citizen and the wife of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. That was not just irresponsible—it was dangerous.
Let me be clear: there is no excuse for this kind of gross negligence. You knowingly broadcasted the location of a woman and her children, putting them in real, immediate danger. Whether this was done out of incompetence or as a political stunt, it is an appalling breach of privacy, safety, and human decency. You are supposed to protect people—not make them targets.
I demand a full investigation into who authorized the release of this information and what disciplinary action will be taken. More importantly, DHS must take immediate and tangible steps to ensure the safety of Ms. Vasquez Sura and her family—because right now, your agency is responsible for putting them in harm’s way.
Shame on every single person who let this happen.
