Given current U.S. military and energy policy decisions in Venezuela and Iran that materially affect oil markets and regional power dynamics, these overlapping financial relationships create at minimum the appearance of potential conflicts of interest.
I am not alleging wrongdoing. However, the American public deserves full transparency and independent oversight to ensure that foreign policy decisions are not influenced, directly or indirectly, by private financial interests.
