Vote NO on SB 472/HB 64 bathroom bill. This attempt to force all "residential educational programs" (no definition available in TN Code) to segregate restrooms, changing areas, and showers based on sex-assigned-at-birth is ridiculously vague and unenforceable. This bill is a part of a larger effort to strip trans and genderqueer people of their rights and prevent them from participating in public life. How do you plan on enforcing this? I challenge you to ask the tough questions of who exactly will be checking birth certificates or genitalia before allowing people into a restroom. What is with the GOP’s obsession with genitalia? It’s gross and weird. Can we please stop and focus on real issues plaguing the people of Tennessee?
