I am writing to urge you to oppose Project 2025, a policy agenda threatening democracy and civil rights. It aims to consolidate executive power and dismantle vital safeguards. Here's how: 1. Voting Rights: Shifting election prosecutions to the Criminal Division, effectively criminalizing voting errors and targeting marginalized voters. 2. Politicizing Agencies: "Schedule F" replaces nonpartisan civil servants with loyalists, politicizing agencies. 3. LGBTQ+ Rights: Eliminating "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" from federal protections, harming LGBTQ+ individuals. 4. Emergency Powers: Expanding the use of national emergencies to bypass Congress. These policies undermine democracy and civil rights. Please oppose any legislation or executive actions aligned with Project 2025 and protect our democracy.
