This administration continues to defy court orders and break the law. Most recently, Alina Habba was illegal appointed. Lindsey Halligan's appointment was so blatantly a weaponized and illegal appointment to indict James Comey and Leticia James that the judge had to dismiss charges. Kristi Noem has also admitted to have ignored Judge Boabert's orders. Here are some of your own words in the past. “The Department of Justice must always be impartial, fair, and above politics. That threatens the balance of powers and the foundations of our democracy.” (Grassley Hearing Statements, March 22, 2022; www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases) “When the Justice Department fails to respect its legal obligations, Congress must act to restore integrity and trust.” (Grassley Calls for DOJ Oversight, September 8, 2021; www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases) So my question to you is this - As Sr Judiciary Republican, how are you encouraging Congress to act and restore integrity and trust to the justice department?
