DOGE has started mass firings at the Social Security Administration. Former SSA Commissioner Martin O’Malley says that the drastic cuts will lead to a collapse of the Social Security system. In the next 30-90 days - so in as little as one month, or at most in 3 months - people’s benefits will be interrupted and they won’t get their checks.
This means seniors, widows and orphans, and disabled people will be left without money that they are entitled to by law. People are going to go hungry, get evicted, and die.
You need to call out what is happening - Trump and Musk know they can’t end Social Security through an act of Congress so they are sabotaging it. If the destruction of SSA can’t be stopped, folks who aren’t getting their benefits should at least know who’s responsible.
