Todd Blanche should never become attorney general for several reasons. First, his unlawful actions suppressing the Epstein files and blocking access to them by law enforcement officials conducting investigations and journalists. He ignores judges’s rulings stating they are to be released as well as the Epstein Transparency act. Instead of upholding the law, he is breaking it. This is not justice nor is it the behavior of someone who runs the Justice Department.
Second, he has turned the Justice Department into a weapon to be used against anyone that Donald Trump sees as a threat or enemy. These are useless investigations that waste time, talent and money. They are politically motivated to make Donald Trump untouchable through intimidation. Again, this is not justice and unbefitting actions of an attorney general.
Third, he has attempted to erase the insurrection of Jan 6. Many of you were there and know this violent attack on Congress was real, dangerous, and an insurrection. It is not to be covered up and folks implicated in it should not receive money for their crimes. His aims are to again solidify Donald Trump’s power and not at all about justice or upholding the laws of the USA. He is not someone who should be in charge of the justice department.
Next, he is actively working to make Donald Trump and his family untouchable by the laws of the land. This will allow them to never be tried for any of their crimes like insider trading and also gives them a free pass to continue to break the law. No one is above the law in the USA. Todd Blanche has shown himself as someone who cares little about justice and instead someone who works to bend the law to protect a president who has multiple felonies and who has been convicted of sexual assault and who regularly uses insider info to enrich himself and his family. Todd Blanche is not attorney general material.
Finally, he has helped gut the justice department of many amazing people who have dedicated their careers to upholding the laws of the USA and justice for all. He is destroying the Justice Department and making it a tool of the President, which solidifies the President as a dictator.
Do not vote for Todd Blanche as Attorney General. He has shown how corrupt he is. This corruption makes him absolutely unfit for this job. No more sycophant appointment high ranking positions. Stand up for Justice. Stand up for the law. Stand up for Congress. Stand up for the American people. Todd Blanche should NEVER be confirmed as Attorney General.
