The depravity truly knows no limits. Yesterday, 4/30 video surfaced of terrorist Israeli-settler colonists emptying an aid truck meant for entry to Gaza and dumping bags of flour on the ground. Gaza is being starved to death. Israel is not allowing unrestricted humanitarian aid access, and is not doing anything to stop actions like this. The provisional measures the ICJ has ruled are not and have never been followed. This administration's unrestrained support of Israel has only deepened our participation in their war crimes in violation of international law. Israel's invasion and continued assault on Rafah can not be allowed. UN Chief Guterres advised this would lead to devastating, severe repercussions for Palestinians both in Gaza and the wider region that will exacerbate the current humanitarian apocalypse Israel has inflicted on Gaza.
The reports that police did not cause any injuries when they invaded Columbia University last night are fabricated and false. There are videos from the scene that show a student who had been forcefully pushed down a flight of stairs by police, became unconscious, and was denied medical care by the police. This administration wants to act as if the students are the source of violence, when we all can see with our own eyes what the threat is and who the victims are. An NYPD officer texted "thought we fucking shot someone", caught on video. Columbia WKCR reporters were placed inside Pulitzer Hall by police and told if they came out they would be arrested. The response to college students has been a disorganized effort meant only to terrorize, and even the police themselves don't know what they did and didn't do. The cross training NYPD and other law enforcement have done and continue to do with Israeli forces has never been more clear. Israel's brutality used against Palestinians is exported here for use on us.
I demand that you:
– Hold Israel accountable for a permanent, immediate ceasefire, their violations of the Genocide Convention, and gross human rights violations by any means necessary
– Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace
– Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7
– Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law
– Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA
– Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict
– Pass legislation that voids all anti-BDS laws at the federal level
– Vote no on H.R. 7521 and any similar legislation proposed
