vote NO on cloture

Republicans are pushing an extreme continuing resolution that puts Social Security, veteran benefits, and even housing and food for thousands of families at risk. It hands Trump and Elon Musk even more power over federal spending, legitimizing their outrageous power grab. Republicans can’t pass this CR without Democrat votes, so Senate Democrats must use their leverage and only lend votes for a clean, short-term CR that keeps the government running without letting Trump and Musk take control of federal spending. That way, Republicans have time to come to the table to negotiate a clean spending bill that has ironclad protections against Trump and Musk. I’m counting on you to stand united with other Democrats to reject the Republicans’ harmful CR. But it’s not enough to just vote no on the final passage of the bill. They must vote NO on cloture until there is a real path forward to pass a clean short term bill instead. If you fight for us, we will have your back.
