The current judicial system disproportionately burdens survivors of abuse, often leading to their revictimization. This is due to systemic biases that favor those with superior legal representation, regardless of their innocence. Furthermore, survivors are frequently subjected to public scrutiny, exacerbating their trauma. The financial and psychological costs of seeking legal protection are significant, and many victims lack adequate legal representation. It is crucial to address these systemic issues and ensure that survivors are not criminalized or silenced. Therefore, it is requested that legislation be enacted to provide better legal support for survivors and to reform the system to eliminate biases. This will ensure that justice is accessible to all, regardless of their financial means or societal standing.
