Convict Trump

As your constituent, and as an American, I demand that you convict Trump of the charge of insurrection. He invited and unleashed that deadly mob that stormed the Capitol. You know it, I know it. People died. Officer Brian Sicknick died. More than 140 Capitol police officers were injured, some grievously. Members of our government, including the Vice President of the United States, were hunted. Terrorists attacked our Capitol. Had that been Al Qaeda or ISIS, you would be screaming for vengeance. But they were white Republicans, so you shrug. If trying to overthrow the government isn’t worthy of conviction, what is? You’ve made your political bones by braying to the heights about your ardent love of the Constitution. But when push comes to shove, you reveal yourself to be a coward and a liar with no moral center at all. Prove me wrong. Impress me with your integrity and courage. For once, just for this once, do the right thing. Stand up for democracy, for the rule of law, and for the Constitution. Convict Donald Trump.
