Oppose the ERO ONE Domestic Spying Program - ICE

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to oppose the ERO ONE domestic spying program for ICE. This surveillance initiative targets people on American soil, and that is a line that should not be crossed in a country built on constitutional protections against unreasonable searches. There’s already a program that has a similar function, the Homeland Investigations Unit: So who exactly is the government planning to spy on with these new agents? Mass domestic surveillance does not make communities safer. It chills free speech, discourages lawful assembly, and creates databases that can be misused by any future administration. The cost to civil liberties is permanent, even when the political moment that created the program passes. Stand against ERO ONE. Thank you.
