NO to RFK Jr: extreme danger for public health and American success & strength

Vaccination is so important to personal and public health! We must keep vaccines legal and well covered by insurance. How is a heroin addict who clearly has no perception of health even thinking of making health decisions for us? Please have common sense. Have you seen the pictures of Polio and the iron lungs? Have you known someone crippled by polio? I have. Measles causes blindness, deafness, meningitis, death. These are things we don't have to see as much because of vaccines, but talk to your parents and grandparents- they know. Listen to their stories. As a family physician I listen to my patients and their stories. I know first hand how much our robust public health has allowed Americans to thrive, and those without access to fail. Illness can lead to job loss, disability, poverty, expensive prolonged hospitalization, death, and the devastation of family members left behind, depression, alcoholism, drug abuse, and suicide. Once we dip below the herd immunity threshold - and we are already close in some places-these diseases can spread like wildfire. Infectious disease pandemics will weaken America more than any war. The plague killed 2/3 of Europe. Smallpox killed the Native Americans and caused them to lose control of their homelands. I can only imagine the class action wrongful death lawsuits from families of children who may be denied vaccination, what side of history will you be on? Your vote will be recorded and YOU will be accountable. Also once an addict always an addict- how often do we hear about people who have been clean 20 or 30 years and then overdose. He is not fit to serve as director of HHS. He needs to be drug tested regularly. Please allow common sense and your dedication to making America strong prevail and vote NO to RFK Jr.
