An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Oppose the SAVE Act (H.R. 22) - A Voter Suppression Bill - House Vote THIS WEEK

90 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

The SAVE Act (H.R. 22) would erect significant and unnecessary barriers that disenfranchise millions of eligible American voters. By requiring citizens to present birth certificates or passports in person to register, it will disproportionately impact women whose birth certificates don't match their married names, transgender individuals, seniors less likely to have passports, people with disabilities already facing voting challenges, communities of color three times more likely to lack documentation, and military members stationed abroad. There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud warranting such restrictions that override voting rights. I urge you to oppose this voter suppression legislation that undermines democracy by preventing legitimate voters from participating in elections. Vote against H.R. 22 and protect every citizen's fundamental right to vote.
