Recent federal actions and proposed legislation make it clear that election administration is being politicized in dangerous ways. I want to be very clear: I support Washington State’s constitutional authority to administer its own elections, protect ballot custody, and safeguard voter access—free from intimidation, interference, or unlawful data demands. Please continue to: -- Publicly affirm Washington’s authority over its elections -- Resist federal efforts that override state election law or disenfranchise voters -- Refuse unlawful demands for sensitive voter data -- Prepare proactively to protect election workers, ballots, and equipment in 2026 Please know that your constituents are paying attention and we expect Washington to hold the line.
