The Supreme Court decided in February that it was too close to elections to intervene in the redistricting process in Alabama. This did not stop them from striking down the Wisconsin state court’s decision to uphold the WI Governor’s redistricting plan in March of the same year. They made this decision on the shadow docket. The court is obviously partisan and the only way to rebalance it is to expand it.
