An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stand With Ukrainian Refugees, Uphold American Compassion

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Deporting Ukrainian refugees fleeing the ongoing war with Russia would be an inhumane policy that rips families apart and sends them back to a war-torn country where their lives would be at severe risk. These immigrants have already had their homes and lives destroyed by the conflict - forcing them to return would be an unimaginable cruelty. Many came to the United States legally through humanitarian programs like Uniting for Ukraine, seeking safety and opportunity. Abandoning them now betrays American values of compassion and protection for the persecuted. I urge you to maintain legal status for Ukrainian immigrants and stand by our commitment to shelter those displaced by violence and tyranny. Showing empathy in this crisis reflects the highest ideals of our nation.
