Memorializing Charlie Kirk

I recently read that the legislature is trying to memorialize Charlie Kirk. I do not understand why a person so divisive and openly racist should be honored in ANY way. I have no desire to “cancel” his memory. But to honor such a man in a country where we celebrate the Everyman, should be anathema and not only to me, but to everyone who believes in democratic ideals. This man was not a hero. This man was not brave. This man did not bring us closer together. This man was not a “Conservative Activist” but a White Nationalist, completely unworthy of honor in a free and equal society.
