National Security Crisis—Hold Trump Accountable Now

The Trump administration’s recent actions have severely compromised the security and integrity of our nation’s intelligence operations. By offering buyouts to the entire CIA workforce and terminating 11 officers involved in diversity and inclusion programs, the administration has not only weakened our defense against global threats but also fostered an environment of fear and instability within the agency. Such reckless decisions jeopardize the safety of all Americans. Moreover, the appointment of individuals lacking substantial intelligence experience to pivotal roles, such as Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence and John Ratcliffe as CIA Director, raises serious concerns about the politicization of our intelligence community. These choices undermine the nonpartisan nature of our security apparatus and risk skewing threat assessments to align with personal loyalties rather than objective analysis. It is imperative that Congress intervenes to halt these dangerous practices, restore stability within our intelligence agencies, and reaffirm the commitment to unbiased national security.
