No Ukraine, No Peace: Condemn Trump’s Talks with Putin

31 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

Trump’s peace talks with Putin last Friday were a disgrace. He shut Ukraine out of its own future. There was no ceasefire. No accountability. Just a stage for Putin to lie, posture, and shift blame. Zelenskyy, whose country has endured years of illegal invasion and war crimes, wasn’t even invited. That’s not how peace is made. It’s how dictators are empowered. Lawmakers and defense officials across Europe condemned the move. British officials said it sent “the worst possible signal to allies and enemies alike.” Experts warned this undermines Ukraine’s sovereignty and lets Russia rewrite the rules of war. When you negotiate peace without the victim, you don’t end conflict, you reward aggression. Congress must act. Demand transparency. Condemn any talks that exclude Ukraine. Reaffirm that peace means justice, not submission. If we let this go unanswered, we are telling the world that invading another country gets you a press conference and a handshake. We should know better. Now prove it.
