An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Vote No on Budget Reconciliation Bill

17 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The House tax bill threatens the nonprofit sector by allowing the Executive Branch to revoke nonprofit status without due process, increasing taxes on private foundations, and limiting charitable deductions. This would undermine the ability of nonprofits to serve communities and meet needs. I urge you to oppose granting unchecked authority to the Administration to target charitable organizations, oppose new taxes that divert resources from essential services, and support expanding tax incentives for charitable giving like the Charitable Act. Nonprofits are vital for filling gaps unmet by government, and this harmful legislation jeopardizes their vital work. Please protect the sector and the millions who rely on nonprofit services by opposing these provisions.
