Trump Defies Courts, Congress Must Respond

Trump’s 2025 administration has repeatedly defied court rulings, undermining the rule of law and our system of checks and balances. DHS has ignored a federal court order halting deportations, continuing removals in open violation of judicial authority. Trump’s executive order stripping independence from administrative law judges is a direct assault on due process. His Justice Department is now refusing to comply with court-ordered disclosures related to corruption probes. This is authoritarian behavior. Congress cannot remain passive as Trump disregards court orders and consolidates power unchecked. If you won’t act to defend our democracy, who will? I urge you to take immediate steps to hold this administration accountable. The rule of law is meaningless if Congress allows it to be ignored.
