An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Vote no on HR22 // married women want to vote

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The SAVE Act would make it much harder for eligible citizens to register and vote by requiring documentary proof of citizenship. This could disenfranchise many voters, including married women whose current legal names differ from their birth certificates. Many Americans lack ready access to documents like passports or naturalization papers. The additional bureaucratic hurdles introduced by this bill risk suppressing voter participation on a massive scale. I urge you to oppose this legislation as it would undermine the fundamental democratic right of citizens to vote. We should be working to make voting more accessible, not erecting new barriers that disproportionately burden certain groups like women and minorities. Please protect the integrity of our elections by voting no on the SAVE Act.
