Earlier this year, the House unanimously passed the PRESS Act to protect journalists from being forced to disclose their sources. This bipartisan bill will help to ensure that journalists and the media can continue to play a vital watchdog role, holding our government accountable.
Without the protections provided by the PRESS Act, we will continue to see aggressive and deterrent government action against journalists who use confidential sources to bring critical information to light.
The PRESS Act addresses critical First Amendment issues that will strengthen our democracy and a free press.
Please support the PRESS Act, and help ensure that it becomes law this year.
