You have the power to stop this ridiculous shutdown. Trump is attempting to selectively choose who gets paid and who doesn't, unfairly threatening back pay to furloughed workers, turning temporary layoffs into permanent firings, and choosing to continue funding his home turf war via the Guard in cities across America. If we are in a shutdown, all federally funded parties should be treated equally according to the rules of how services manage shutdowns. Americans want stable, affordable healthcare. The GOP solution is let it ride until nobody can afford insurance coverage. Stop digging your heels in and understand that you can end the shutdown and avoid the wrath of your constituency by voting with the Dems to maintain the ACA. Red voters, who have greater wealth divides between the impoverished and ultra rich, stand to suffer the most. So regardless of whether you listen to me, pay attention to your voters, the folks who put you in office, and how much continuing this shutdown and rolling back the ACA is going to hurt them.
