Masked Raids Are Not Justice, They’re Kidnappings

If someone arrives at your door without identification, a badge, or a warrant, and their face is covered while claiming to be law enforcement, what would you do? This scenario amounts to kidnapping. Federal immigration agents are increasingly conducting raids in unmarked vehicles without proof of authority, raising concerns about "police-state" tactics that threaten democracy and due process. Such practices must be made illegal. Our Constitution requires law enforcement to identify themselves and operate transparently. Anonymous detentions undermine the rule of law. Congress must act to prohibit mask-wearing during operations and mandate visible identification and warrants for arrests by federal agents. Americans deserve assurance that those acting on behalf of the state are accountable and identifiable.
