An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures

Teach CPR in School & Save Lives

10 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I am your constituent and I want you to know that in a recent study of 623,000 cardiac arrest victims only 9% were able to survive. Their hearts stopped outside of a hospital and CPR was administered by a non professional. We need to make sure we all know and can deliver CPR effectively. CPR training only takes about 3 hours. If every high school student were trained in CPR hundreds of thousands of lives could be saved. I want you to bring forward legislation that includes CPR training in high school. You could even make it a graduation requirement. It is a really small thing that will mean so much to so many people. Thank you. Here is a link to the study in the Journal of the American Heart Association, https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.124.068732.
