Is Mahmoud Khalil just the start?

It is terrifying to see the arrest and threatened deportation of Mahmoud Khalil simply for exercising free speech. A legal resident with a green card who is married to an American citizen who is 8 months pregnant and who did nothing illegal snatched up and incarcerated because of his political views. This is a frightening turn of events and there should be an outcry against this heinous action from both sides of the aisle. If a regime is willing to take this sort of action without push back, the consequences will be dire. The net will widen and eventually even American citizens who go against the regime will be at risk of disappearing. It is imperative that you speak out against this unlawful arrest or the slippery slope will get steeper. It is painfully clear that this administration has no respect for the constitutional protections we have taken for granted for decades and if this assault on democracy is ignored, the collapse with come quicker than you think. We are better than this.
