When will the GOP stop covering for Trump? When will you stop trying to translate the nonsense that comes out of his mouth as actually being coherent? When will you stop sane-washing the radical destruction by DOGE at Trump’s behest as being good for the country?
When will you stand up and say our economy is headed in the wrong direction because of actions taken by Trump, and Trump alone?
When will you stop bobble-heading at seizing the Panama Canal? Gaza? Greenland? Canada? Deserting Ukraine?
When will you say enough is enough?
He does not understand the complexity of…well, most everything. But he acts with the power of someone who thinks he does.
The smart people in your party know this to be true. How can they continue to condone the things we are watching? To enable these things to continue? And to even encourage more of the same?
Maybe DOGE is having trouble coming up with long lists of fraud in the government because they’re going about it in an uneducated, inefficient way? Or maybe their pre-conceived notions of rampant corruption are just not panning out?
(And maybe people who got rich off the government shouldn’t be the ones cutting American 9-5 workers from their paychecks.)
Maybe ICE is having trouble rounding up detention camps full of violent criminals for deportation in the immigrant community because there just aren’t the numbers that were declared to be?
Maybe Trump hasn’t ended the wars in Ukraine and Gaza because he doesn’t know how? But he does know how to prevaricate, dodge, pivot, and deflect on promises made, no problem.
The government is not a private business. Government is for the people. And by the people. Not for a bunch of rich privateers to destroy for their own benefit.
What y’all have led us to is a morally, and legally, shifty businessman, erratic in his pettiness, limited in his powers of negotiation, small in his thinking, surrounded by people just like him, but more malevolent and focused in their intent to tear it all down.
What grownups there were are gone. No guardrails within the administration itself. No accountability required by the GOP Congress.
Nothing but one man with a cult following bullying the world. And creating chaos for his country.
