An open letter to the U.S. Congress

OPPOSE the “SAVE Act” Disenfranchisement

OPPOSE the “SAVE Act” Disenfranchisement The “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act” is actually a voter disenfranchisement strategy. This bill would make it easy to cancel registrations for trivial things like moving and name changes. We already have thorough processes to ensure that only citizens can vote. The 1993 National Voter Registration Act does not need amending, bloating, or twisting into a tool of suppression. You must prevent the establishment of criminal penalties and exposure to private legal actions designed to abuse and attack election officials doing their jobs. These election officials are already under threat from vigilantes, and do not even have basic protection from local, state, and federal law enforcement. Do not make their jobs untenable. The SAVE Act will deny millions of people, especially women, access to the ballot box. You must vote NO and unite your fellow patriots to defend us.
