An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Call for Abrego Garcia's return, upholding human rights principles

7 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

El Salvador's refusal to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a prisoner renditioned to that country, is concerning from a human rights perspective. While respecting El Salvador's sovereignty, I urge Congress to engage diplomatically and insist on Abrego Garcia's prompt return to the United States. Unlawful extraordinary renditions violate due process and must not be condoned. Prioritizing human rights, Congress should take appropriate measures to secure Abrego Garcia's safe repatriation and address this disturbing precedent through proper legal channels.
