History Will Judge Silence—Let’s Be Loud

To my representatives, I know we’re on the same side, and I appreciate your continued efforts to uphold democratic values during a time when they’re under constant threat—but I need my voice to be counted, and my concern made crystal clear. The fact that Donald Trump is once again president—despite his blatant contempt for the Constitution, the judiciary, and democratic norms—should shake this country to its core. And yet we’re watching legislative hypocrisy flourish: DEI programs are being gutted, entire political ideologies are being vilified through taxpayer-funded curriculum, and fascist undertones are becoming mainstream policy goals. I understand that you’re fighting an uphill battle. But please, do not normalize this. Do not compromise with extremism. Do not back down under the weight of manufactured outrage and bad-faith culture wars. I need to see you—and every member of your caucus—call out these attacks on truth, inclusion, and democracy loudly and often. I won’t be silent. I won’t be complicit.
