Why is the government not researching gun violence? Why is the government not putting in stricter regulations on guns? Why do we require so much individual responsibility to drive a car and nearly nothing to own a gun? Why are our demands for change not being acted upon? What will YOU do, at our local level, to help protect us all? I expect to see public statements on what you plan to do to make changes to gun legislation.
For too long, the NRA leadership has been allowed to force their dangerous "guns everywhere" agenda in Congress -- meaning that too often, profits have been prioritized over the safety of the American people. Protect the people and take action!
IN EVERY STATE background checks should be required for all gun sales. Individuals convicted of domestic violence should not be allowed to own guns or have guns in their possession. Make responsible gun ownership and usage federal law so that it is uniform across the United States. Make the NRA own rules into law.
