Restore Collective Bargaining Rights for Federal Employees

I’m writing to urge you to support the Protecting America’s Workforce Act and restore collective bargaining rights for federal workers.
Twenty House Republicans crossed party lines because they understood what stripping these protections actually means. When Wisconsin gutted public sector unions in 2011, teacher job applications dropped by two-thirds. TSA performance improved after workers gained union rights. Federal employees who process Social Security benefits, care for our veterans, and respond when disasters strike need basic workplace protections to do their jobs well.
Using national security as justification to strip union rights from the Social Security Administration, NASA, and the National Weather Service isn’t a scalpel. It’s executive overreach that makes government less stable and less effective. Federal workers can’t strike, can’t bargain wages or benefits. All they have left is the ability to negotiate basic working conditions and protection from retaliation.
Good government and worker rights aren’t opposing values. Vote yes on the Protecting America’s Workforce Act.
