The tragedy in Afghanistan is the inevitable result of American imperialism and exploitation. We must take in the refugees we created and do out best to prevent our creation of events like this in the future. We are not the worlds police. We should not be violently enforcing our will on the world for profit (either military or economic violence). We should be the worlds EMTs, not it's police. We should accept all who seek safety and provide economic resources and medical personal to the countries that need it. Pouring our tax dollars and the bodies of our soldiers into invading and exploiting countries benefits only the rich and harms the most vulnerable. We intentionally left Afghanistan unable to stand on its own so we could launder more tax dollars through the military and now they are paying the price. Accept all refugees, and slash the military budget. Going back will just make the problems we caused worse.
