An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Regarding the Removal of Black Lives Matter Sign in D.C.

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am writing to express my deep concern over the removal of the Black Lives Matter sign in Washington, D.C. This sign served as a powerful statement of solidarity and a reminder of the ongoing work needed to ensure justice and equity for all communities. Its removal sends a troubling message, particularly to those who have long fought for civil rights and social justice. Public expressions of support for racial justice matter. They acknowledge the lived experiences of Black Americans and affirm our collective commitment to a more just and equitable society. Taking down this sign does not erase the need for continued conversations and meaningful action to address systemic inequalities. I urge you to consider the impact of this decision and to support efforts that promote inclusion, equity, and justice. I appreciate your time and your commitment to serving our communities, and I hope you will stand with those who believe in the importance of these values.
