Reject Russian disinformation, fully support Ukraine's self-defense

It is critical that the United States stands firmly in support of Ukraine's sovereignty and rejects false narratives about the origins of this unprovoked Russian invasion. The facts are clear - Russia bears full responsibility for launching an illegal war against its neighbor in violation of international law. Ukraine's resistance against Russian aggression is an exercise of its legitimate right to self-defense. Russia's disinformation campaign attempts to shift blame onto the victim, but the truth cannot be obfuscated. Ukraine never provoked or instigated this conflict. Trump's unfounded claims about Ukraine's democratic elections and his distortion of casualty figures are deeply concerning. Such statements undermine our nation's credibility and embolden Putin's government as it wages a brutal war. Ending this war requires holding Russia accountable, not perpetuating Kremlin propaganda. The United States must forcefully denounce Putin's imperialist ambitions and rally the international community in solidarity with the Ukrainian people's courageous fight for freedom. Echoing Russian disinformation is antithetical to American values and interests. Maintaining a unified stance backing Ukraine's territorial integrity and right to choose its own destiny is paramount.
