An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress; State Governors & Legislatures
Is the President Uninformed, Uninterested — or Unfit?
20 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!
President Trump keeps saying, “I don’t know anything about it.”
He said it when asked about the Signal leak — where his own war cabinet shared classified strike plans, including with a journalist, on unsecured apps.
He said it about signing the Alien Enemies Act proclamation — even though it carried his name and led to mass deportations.
He even claimed that Ukraine invaded Russia — a reversal of history so glaring it defies logic.
So which is it?
• Is he not being informed by his staff?
• Does he not care about the consequences of his own policies?
• Or is he simply no longer mentally capable of understanding what’s happening around him?
Because if the President truly doesn’t know what his government is doing — in matters of war, national security, or basic foreign policy — then we are in dangerous territory.
The 25th Amendment, Section 4, was written for this exact scenario. It provides that when the President is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office,” the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet may act.
This is not about politics. It’s about fitness, awareness, and basic presidential responsibility.
If President Trump is not being briefed, someone must be held accountable.
If he is being briefed and cannot retain the information, that’s a constitutional crisis.
If he is aware and simply lies — that’s a betrayal of the American people.
Whatever the explanation, it’s clear: this cannot continue.
We need leaders who know what they’ve signed, understand what they’re doing, and tell the truth when lives are on the line.
