Action Needed: Urgent Measures to Address Escalating Violence in Jenin

29 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

The recent incident in Jenin, captured in this video (youtu.be/1_6RjK6EXBs?si=e5Cyv-f7BpPEUbKk), where an 8-year-old child was playing on the street, is a chilling reminder of the escalating violence. The child, along with a teenager, was tragically shot by a sniper, a horrifying event that has shocked the world. This incident underscores the urgent need for action: 1. Immediate cessation of both military and financial support to Israel until a thorough investigation into these incidents is conducted and measures are taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. 2. Reinstatement of funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), an organization that provides essential aid to those affected by the conflict. 3. A call for an immediate ceasefire to halt the current violence and create a space for dialogue and negotiation, the only sustainable paths to peace. 4. Reconsideration of anti-BDS boycott laws, which currently limit the rights of individuals and organizations to express their views and engage in peaceful protest. Repealing these laws would uphold the principles of freedom of expression and peaceful protest.
