Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
A constituent who is tired of receiving a rote response such as the one received today from Sen. Cruz, in response to who knows what. But it certainly wasn’t because of my concern about antifa.
I include it because it is so silly...
“Thank you for contacting me regarding Antifa. Input from fellow Texans significantly informs my decision-making and empowers me to better represent the state.
Politically motivated violence has no place in our society. Unfortunately, the radical left increasingly resorts to violence instead of well-intentioned debate and discussion. Antifa, a left-wing anarchist terrorist organization, routinely relies on violence to intimidate and punish its political opponents. Time and time again their actions have demonstrated that their only purpose is to inflict harm on those who oppose their views.
This is why I took several actions to hold Antifa accountable for their hate and violence. First, I was proud to introduce a resolution (S. Res. 279) with Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) to properly identify what Antifa is: a domestic terrorist organization. Additionally, I have asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation to open an organized crime investigation into Antifa under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). While it is ultimately the Department's decision whether RICO charges are appropriate, public information alone suggests that in at least several instances across the country Antifa members have violated RICO. Our Republic depends on free and open participation in the political process. These acts of brazen political violence and intimidation strike at the heart of that process.

I have received such non-relative responses from each of you at one time or another. They demonstrate that you view your constituents as being of one belief system, one particular political bent. But we are not all the same. You may consider me a minority in the views I express, but I am still a constituent.
So when I write to you with valid concerns, based on MY belief system, do not rote respond with something that you assume will make me happy. And NEVER respond to me with misinformation and false flags as Sen. Cruz just did.
Please don’t respond at all if that’s the best you can do.
