Medical Treatment of Transgender Youth Should not be Dictated by Politicians

I am reaching out to my state senate representative and congressman regarding SB 49 and HB 419. I am deeply opposed to the state and federal government imposing their personal beliefs into matters of transgender and gender diverse healthcare. These 2 Bills will do considerable damage to transgender youth. Back in June of 2021 the American Medical Association (AMA) strengthened its established position opposing the governmental intrusion into the practice of medicine that is detrimental to the health of transgender and gender-diverse children and adults. It is outrageous that basic health care is being denied to transgender and gender non-conforming people and that so much additional trauma is being caused by politicians that have no business imposing their personal beliefs regarding the medical treatment of transgender and gender-diverse youth and adults.
