Reject US Peace Plan for Ukraine: Stand Firm Against Russian Aggression

I am writing to express my deep concern and opposition to the proposed US peace plan for Ukraine. This plan, which has been met with alarm by our European, Canadian, and Japanese allies, amounts to little more than capitulation to Russian aggression. I urge you to take a strong stand against this proposal and continue supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The 28-point plan, which President Trump has given Ukraine until November 27 to accept, contains several alarming provisions that would severely compromise Ukraine's security and sovereignty. It proposes Ukrainian troop withdrawals from parts of Donetsk, effectively handing control to Russia. It also suggests freezing borders in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia along current battle lines, which would legitimize Russia's illegal land grab. Perhaps most concerning is the proposal to limit Ukraine's military to 600,000 personnel, leaving the country vulnerable to future aggression. Furthermore, the plan's suggestion to reintegrate Russia into the global economy and potentially invite it back into the G7 sends a dangerous message that aggression and violation of international law can be rewarded. This approach undermines the rules-based international order that has been the cornerstone of global stability since World War II. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Ukraine faces a difficult moment due to US pressure to accept this plan. We must stand with Ukraine in this critical time. The country remains critically dependent on US weaponry and intelligence support, and abandoning them now would be a betrayal of our values and strategic interests. I implore you to reject this misguided peace plan and instead advocate for a just resolution that respects Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. We must continue providing Ukraine with the support it needs to defend itself against Russian aggression. The upcoming meeting of security officials from Britain, France, Germany, the US, and Ukraine in Geneva presents an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to Ukraine and work towards a truly just and lasting peace. The world is watching. Our response to this crisis will shape the future of international relations and the rule of law. Let us choose to stand on the right side of history by supporting Ukraine's fight for freedom and democracy.
