Where does it go from here?
Just one item from the NARA Trump dump on Thursday, as outlined by Politico, should further confirm the organized attempt to subvert the 2020 presidential election…an unsigned executive order dated December 16, 2020 charging “evidence of international and foreign interference in the November 3, 2020, election.”
Those complaints were used to justify using the National Guard to seize the nation’s voting machines.
The order told the secretary of defense to “seize, collect, retain and analyze all machines, equipment, electronically stored information, and material records” from the election.
It gave the defense secretary power to call up the National Guard to support him and told the assistant secretary of defense for homeland security to provide support from the Department of Homeland Security.
The secretary of defense had 60 days to provide an assessment to the Office of the Director of National Defense. (After inauguration?)
The executive order also provided for “[t]he appointment of a Special Counsel to oversee this operation and institute all criminal and civil proceedings as appropriate based on the evidence collected and provided all resources necessary to carry out her duties consistent with federal laws and the Constitution.”
Mr. Trump was apparently all in on signing off on this until persuaded by aides that it wasn’t a good idea.
The document also cites two National Security Presidential Memoranda—numbers 13 and 21—to justify the emergency powers Trump planned to assume.
13 seems to pertain to cybersecurity. What is 21?
Since it was used to justify seizing voting machines, it seems like someone should know. Or care.
Do you? If not, aren’t you curious as to what it might be? And who might have had high-level access to classified info in order to write such an expansive order?
The magnitude of malfeasance being revealed is mind numbing. Hard to fathom. Impossible to believe that we were brought so close to anarchy. By one man, his ego, and minions willing to spread lies for him…and use the power of the U.S. government against itself.
What are y’all going to do to make sure this can’t happen again?
