An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress; State Governors & Legislatures

NOAA must be allowed to communicate with other countries to protect our oceans

30 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) plays a critical role in monitoring and protecting the world's oceans, which transcend national boundaries. Restricting communication and collaboration with international partners would severely undermine NOAA's ability to gather data, share research, and coordinate efforts to address global challenges like climate change, overfishing, and marine pollution. These issues require a global, cooperative approach that NOAA cannot accomplish alone. Reinstating open international engagement is essential for NOAA to fulfill its mission of promoting conservation and sustainability of our shared ocean resources for the benefit of all.
