An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Vote NO on Tulsi Gabbard

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the possibility of Tulsi Gabbard being appointed as the next Director of National Intelligence (DNI). Given the complexities of current global geopolitics and the critical nature of this position, I believe it is imperative to carefully evaluate her candidacy. Tulsi Gabbard has cultivated a reputation that raises significant questions about her allegiance and intentions. Her past associations and statements suggest a troubling affinity for regimes that are often at odds with American interests, particularly those of Russia. This has led many to suspect that she may be acting in alignment with narratives that serve Russian interests, rather than those of the United States. Such concerns are compounded by Gabbard's controversial positions on foreign policy, which often echo the Kremlin's propaganda. Her outspoken criticism of U.S. military engagement and her reluctance to confront authoritarian regimes can be interpreted as a reluctance to uphold and promote democratic values — a fundamental responsibility of the DNI. The role demands unwavering dedication to safeguarding national security and the integrity of our democratic institutions, and any perceived compromise in these areas should be alarmingly scrutinized. Moreover, the growing discourse around the potential for Gabbard being a Russian asset cannot be ignored. This suspicion is not merely a product of political rivalry but stems from her patterns of behavior and rhetoric that align suspiciously with the goals of foreign adversaries. The Director of National Intelligence must possess a steadfast commitment to countering foreign interference and protecting our nation from external manipulation, qualities that are brought into question with Gabbard’s candidacy. In light of these considerations, I urge you and other decision-makers to carefully assess the implications of appointing Tulsi Gabbard to such a critical position. The stakes are too high, and the risks associated with her potential appointment could have lasting consequences for our national security and global standing. Thank you for considering my concerns on this matter.
